This is the blog of an ordinary Kenyan jamaa who recognizes that without Jesus he is incapable of existing and as such holds onto and loves Jesus Christ the Lord because He first loved me not because of any desire or virtuous inclination on my part but rather because, he looked upon me and saved me unconditionally according to his good purposes, mercy and ever glorious grace. In his light and truth I am preserved even till we meet face to face and beyond.
A follower of Christ since mid 2008, my intention is to use every opportunity I have here to redirect attention from myself to Him because He is ‘the light that shines eternal,’ additionally, the name of this blog is inspired in part by the doctrine of the perseverance of the saints.
I also hold dearly to the doctrines of grace. Furthermore, I believe in the doctrines found in The Westminster Standards and The Three Forms of Unity; historic Protestant church documents, whose aims are to present a summary of what the Bible teaches as Christian doctrine. These documents form part of a tradition within Christianity called the Reformed tradition.
